Export to Microsoft Project

Use the Estimating Import/Export Tool to export estimate data to Microsoft Project. When you export the estimate to Project, the following information of the estimate is exported:

  • Description

  • Extended Cost (XtdCost)

  • WBS code

  • Duration (defined as the calculation of the duration of a task in days, which is determined by the number of man-hours assigned to a cost item).

You can filter the estimate to export only specific cost items. See Sort and Filter the Estimate for more information.

Note: You must have Microsoft Project installed on your computer to be able to export to it.

To open a job in the Manage Estimates screen, click Estimating > Estimating > Manage Estimates in the All Tasks pane. Then select the job you want to open, and click OK.
