Validate Greenshades Center

After you install Greenshades Center, you must enter your registration key for validation.

You will need the registration key you received from Trimble Viewpoint. If you didn't receive your registration key, contact Trimble Viewpoint Customer Support.
The first time you select Generate on the Electronic Filing screen, the Greenshades application requires you to enter your registration key.

Follow these steps to prompt the application to validate your key. You are not going to actually generate any forms for e-filing.

  1. To open the Electronic Filing screen, go to Employees > Quarter and Year End > Greenshades > Electronic Filing.
  2. In the Filing Type area, select any one of the options, and then enter any required date fields.
  3. Select Generate.
    The Unlock the Greenshades Center window appears.
  4. Select OK.
  5. In the Registration Key field, enter the registration key you received from Trimble Viewpoint.
  6. Select Validate.
  7. Select OK.
  8. If a Greenshades Auto Update message appears noting that there are updates for Greenshades Center, do the following:
    1. Select Update Now.
    2. Select OK to close Greenshades Center before applying the updates.
    3. Select Close.
    4. Repeat steps 1-7 to reopen Greenshades Center and enter your registration key again.
Having validated Greenshades Center, you are ready to use it to e-file tax forms and reports.
