Description

Rate Per Day or Week Calculation

Click to indicate whether to use this calculation as the method of distributing fringes, deductions, and additional pays to each time card distribution line.

Yes - Distribute a flat amount (either an amount per day or an amount per week) based on a distribution line's percentage of total earnings. For example, suppose an employee wants to contribute $50 to a 401(k) each pay period, and will be paid $500 of wages for one period. The paycheck has two time card lines, with $100 of wages on Line A and $400 of wages on Line B. If you select Yes, then $10 (or 20% of $50) is applied to line A, and $40 (or 80% of $50) is applied to line B.

No - Distribute based on the amount specifically calculated for each distribution line. For example, using the same scenario as above, all of the $50 contribution is applied to Line A, and none is applied to Line B.
