Adjust Payroll Checks and Advices screen

Use the Adjust Payroll Checks and Advices screen to manually adjust payroll transactions after Enter Time Card by Employee screen or Generate Automatic Time Cards screen. You can adjust direct deposit distributions, additional pay, before- or after-tax deductions, fringe benefits, and taxes.

Note: You cannot adjust payroll transaction details after a payroll transaction has been posted. If you need to make changes after posting a payroll transaction entry, void the payroll transaction using the Void Payroll Transactions screen and then enter another payroll transaction using the Enter Time Card by Employee screen or the Generate Automatic Time Cards screen.

You must have rights to access the pay system for an employee in order to adjust payroll transaction details for that employee.

When you make an adjustment to a payroll transaction, the other amounts in the transaction are not updated on screen because ProContractor needs to recalculate taxes and deductions for all amounts in the transaction. Because ProContractor performs this recalculation when you save the adjustment. Therefore, you should always reopen the Adjust Payroll Checks and Advices screen for the employee whose payroll you adjusted and confirm the updated calculations.

Note: To open the Adjust Payroll Checks and Advices screen, click Employees > Payroll > Adjust Payroll Checks and Advicesin the All Tasks pane.
