Create a general ledger budget by copying an existing budget

You can copy budget lines from an existing budget.

  1. Open the Maintain General Ledger Budget screen.

    Note the active company. If you want to change it, click in the header and select the appropriate company.

  2. In the Budget Year field, click to select the year for the budget.
  3. In the Version field, select the New version.
  4. In the field next to the right of the Version field, enter a name for the budget version.
  5. In the Memo field, enter any comments or notes about the budget.
  6. Click Copy Budget. The Copy Budget popup window displays.
  7. Complete the fields as described on the Copy Budget popup window.
  8. Click Copy Budget to return to the Maintain General Ledger Budget screen.
  9. Complete the fields as described on the Maintain General Ledger Budget Screen Field Reference.
  10. Click Save Budget.
