Drawing annotations

Annotate a drawing from a record to identify the area in the drawing that needs action or information.

Drawings annotation toolbar

In the drawings viewer of a Drawings record, annotate a drawing with the annotations toolbar. See Drawing Measurements for information on measurement tool annotations.

  1. Select to undo a style, move, or resize
    Note: The Undo button is not applicable to annotations with labels. For annotations with labels, you must select the annotation, then select Edit before you can move, resize, or update the style of the annotation.
  2. Select the Measurements tool to choose the Calibrate, Distance, Perimeter, or Area tool. See Drawing Measurements for more information.
    Note: A calibration must be added before the Distance, Perimeter, or Area tools are activated.
  3. Select the Camera tool to pin photos or videos to your drawing
  4. Select the Write tool to choose the Pencil tool or Text tool
  5. Select the Shape tool to choose a cloud, rectangle, or circle annotation

In RFIs, access drawing annotations from the Questions or Comments box.
