Assign Licenses in Bulk

Assign licenses to many users at once by uploading a CSV file.

  • If you're assigning licenses to 20 users or less, go instead to Assign Licenses to Users.
  • If you're setting up users before it's known which licenses they should get, or adding Admins who won't be assigned licenses to any product, go instead to Add Users in Bulk.
Assigning licenses is the most efficient way to add product users because it adds a user to your account, invites them to create their TID to sign in, and assigns the license in a single step. The same is true if you're assigning licenses in bulk.

To assign licenses to multiple users in the Admin Console:

  1. In the left pane, select Products & Licenses.
  2. In the table, locate and select the name of the subscription.
  3. Select Manage subscription.
  4. Select Manage and then select Assign licenses.
  5. Select the Upload CSV tab.
  6. Select Download CSV template.
    The sample file downloads to your device.
  7. Navigate to the CSV file and open it using your preferred spreadsheet or text-editing application.
  8. Enter up to 200 email addresses and save as a CSV.
  9. Drag and drop the file into the Admin Console or select Browse to select the file.
    A pop-up indicates the number of licenses assigned.
    Note: If any errors are detected, select Review errors and follow the prompts to address each one.
  10. Select Done.
What happens next:
  • Licenses are assigned to the entered users.
  • Each user receives an email from noreply@accounts.trimble.com.
  • Any user who does not already have a Trimble ID is provided with a link to create their Trimble ID.
Some applications require you to take additional action for users to get access. If this is necessary, an on-screen message indicates where you need to go to finish granting access to your users. If needed, consult that application's documentation for additional information.
