Trimble ID FAQ

Quick answers for common Trimble Identity questions.

Can I sign into multiple products at the same time?

Yes, you can sign into multiple products at the same time using your Trimble ID.

Trimble Identity works with products across the Trimble product line. If your product uses Trimble Identity, use your Trimble ID to sign in to it.

Is there a way to set custom password policies for Trimble ID users?

To use custom password policies, your company needs to set up a federation with a 3rd-party enterprise identity provider (IdP), such as Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Google ID, or others. This allows user credentials and policies configured in the IdP to apply to Trimble ID.

Why can't I change my email or password or delete my Trimble ID?

If you are a federated user (meaning your organization manages your sign-in credentials), changing certain details of your profile isn't possible from myprofile.trimble.com.

Contact your administrator if you need to change your email address, password, multifactor authentication setup, or other settings.

Can I use a 3rd-party sign-in for Trimble ID?

Yes. Trimble Identity currently supports the use of Google, Apple, and Microsoft sign-ins (collectively referred to as social sign-on) to access your Trimble account.

If you choose to use one of these options, you'll have a slightly different sign in process and your social sign-on account will become your Trimble ID sign-in. Additionally, all password, email, and MFA management is handled through the social sign-on provider you used to sign in.

Important:

If you already sign in to any Trimble product

Use the same email to sign in to all Trimble products. For example, if you have a sign-in to Trimble Connect or SketchUp, use the same email when signing in to any other Trimble product.

Sign in with Apple

Apple's Hide Your Email feature may limit your ability to collaborate with teammates and receive expedited support in the Trimble ecosystem.

While we don’t recommend hiding your email, you can still use most Trimble applications and features inside those apps.
