Add a Text Annotation
You can use text annotations to write on documents and to add information to a View.
- Open a file in Trimble Connect for Browser's 2D Viewer.
- On the toolbar, activate the Text Annotation tool.
- Pick the point where you want to add the text annotation.
- Type the desired text in the text box.
- To complete the text annotation, click somewhere else in the document.
Edit a Text Annotation
You can edit a text annotation in the 2D viewer.
- To edit the text:
- Double-click the text.
- Modify the text as needed.
- To save the text annotation, click somewhere else in the document.
- To edit the text box:
- Select the annotation.
- Click and drag one of the end points to edit the size.
- To move the position of the annotation, click and drag the annotation (from the center) to the desired area.
- Release the left mouse button.
Formatting options for a Text Annotation
You can use the bold, italic, underline, or strike-through options to format to your text.
- Bold text - Ctrl + B
- Italic text - Ctrl + I
- Underline text - Ctrl + U
- Strike-through text - Ctrl + K
Style Properties of a Text Annotation
The style properties can be accessed by selecting the Style button after the annotation is selected.
| Property | Description |

| Color | Choose the text color, border color, and fill color. |
| Text size | Adjust the text size: The default size is 9pt. It can be adjusted from 5pt to 45pt. |
| Stroke | Adjust the line thickness. |
| Opacity | Adjust the opacity: Changing the opacity will affect the entire Annotation (not just the fill independently). |
