    • Surface highlight mode: The default Surface & Boundary mode is preferred because it displays both the surface and its boundaries, providing a comprehensive analysis. This dual emphasis allows users to see topographical features alongside demarcations, facilitating detailed evaluations and precise spatial analysis.

In contrast, selecting only Surface focuses solely on topographical features, while Boundary highlights precise delineations.

Raster File Cache

The raster file cache is used for the temporary storage of raster data, such as map images, to enhance performance. It functions by storing copies of raster files locally, which allows for faster access and reduces network load.

On its settings tab, you can change the following settings.
  • Location: Select Change to move the folder that contains your raster file cache.
  • Max Size: Set the max allowable size for your raster file cache. For optimal performance, the cache size is set to its lowest maximum size by default.
