Export to LandXML
Follow these steps to export a file to LandXML format.
When objects in a model are connected to their respective process codes, you can use this intelligence in the model when exporting to LandXML. For this format, you can set up multiple combinations of Code and Description found in the classifications, so that DWG layer names and LandXML object names are named according to classifications.
For more information, see Export to IFC.- Add the alignment used for a specific road task (machine control needs the centerline in the same LandXML file as the rest of the road surface layer). This type of export will only export the road task string lines as so-called “irregular lines” to LandXML for use with Leica RoadRunner or import it to Trimble Business Center for further export to Trimble equipment or use the Trimble File Flipper to make machine control files directly.
- Pick just the stringlines you need and push them with topology for use on the total station.
- Join multiple surfaces in task settings if they have neighboring triangles.
For instructions on how to export to IFC file using classifications, see Export and Publish Setup. The principal solution is the same as shown for LandXML.
- Follow the general steps in Export to File.
- Specify the options specified for LandXML in the Export Settings.
- Select OK.
- Complete the additional steps in Export to File.
- Select Finish.
