Create a formula in a catalog

  1. Open a job in the Manage Estimates screen.
  2. Open the Catalog tab.
  3. In the Catalog field, click to select the catalog to which you want to add the formula.
  4. Click FM on the speedbar.
  5. In the Formula field, enter a code of up to eight alphanumeric characters to identify the formula.
    Note: Keywords can contain alphanumeric characters and can consist of multiple words, but cannot begin or end with a space.

    Alphanumeric characters include the letters A through Z, the numerals 0 through 9, and all special characters except comma, dash, period, percent, tilde, and single quote.

  6. In the field to the right of the Formula field, enter a name for the formula.
  7. Press Tab.
  8. Complete the fields as described on the Formula Maintenance Screen Field Reference.
  9. Click Save Formula.
After creating a formula, you may want to use it when you Create an Enterprise Level Assembly.
