Locate the mouse pad and menu pad

There are two decals you should have affixed to the digitizer board: the mouse pad and the menu pad.

These decals are designated areas, which allow you to use your stylus as a mouse and perform various functions within the Estimating module.

Mouse Pad

Menu Pad

To locate the mouse pad and menu pad:

  1. Verify these decals are placed inside the active area of the board (the grid of squares for a Roll-Up or inside the L-brackets of a hardboard).
  2. Click in the system tray at the bottom right corner of your screen and select Locate mouse area.
Note: If you don't see this icon, the MenuPad program isn't running. To start it and add the icon to the system tray, click the Windows Start menu, and select All Programs > Startup > MenuPad.
  3. When you are prompted to digitize the lower left corner of the mouse area, press the tip of the pen on the lower left bull's-eye.
  4. Repeat step 3 for the upper right corner of the mouse area.
  5. Move the pen inside the mouse pad decal. Verify that it controls the mouse pointer as your computer mouse normally would.
  6. Once again, click in the system tray and select Locate menu. The same window appears as when you located the mouse area.
  7. This time, digitize the lower-left and upper-right corners of the menu pad decal.
After you locate the mouse pad and menu pad, you are ready to use your digitizer.
