What's New in Field View 2025 R2

Welcome to the first Field View release of 2025, complete with exciting updates about new features! Elevate your visual documentation with Field View Site Capture! Site Capture 360 Photos delivers easy, visual, cost-effective on-site progress tracking and comprehensive evidence capture. We also made it easier to upload BIM files directly into your project using your Trimble Connect account. In addition, we are changing the name of all project communication plans in the permissions to the more-accurate project notification preferences.

Site Capture 360 Photos

The Site Capture 360 Photos feature enables site workers to easily and frequently share a timeline of the work completed and allows project managers to compare photos for a timeline of the work done.
  • Works with a 360 camera.
  • Navigate through and compare the images over time for a photo history of work progress.
  • View drawings from the same station side by side to see changes.
  • Create tasks and other work items that link back to the drawing.
  • Field View’s processing engine filters out faces of people in the drawing.
  • See tasks and forms visible on images and on 2D plan for a visual time line to the progress of work on the site.

Site Capture 360 Photos is available to all Field View users. Open the mobile app and connect the 360 camera. In an area of importance, tap a point on the drawing to capture the 360 photo. Upload the photo to the cloud.

Model Library

Similar to the drawings library, you can now seamlessly upload BIM files directly into your project using your Trimble Connect account. Once uploaded, your BIM files are readily available in the model library for your selected location. Additionally, you can create your project geometry via imported IFC models segmented with location elements in your library, streamlining your workflow and eliminating hours of repetitive tasks.

Field View will be expanding model library access in future releases.

Trimble ID

Important changes are coming to Field View!

Over the next six weeks, you will receive email notifications regarding Trimble Identity. These emails will contain important information to prepare you for the coming upgrade from Viewpoint ID to Trimble ID. No action is required until March 19, 2025.
