Upgrade your Viewpoint ID to Trimble (without Azure AD)

Take these steps to upgrade your Viewpoint ID (SSO) account to a Trimble ID account in order to continue logging in to your applications.

Note: The steps on this page apply to you only if you do not use Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) to log in to your Trimble products.

If you do use Microsoft Entra ID, see Upgrade your Viewpoint ID to Trimble ID (with Azure AD).

  • You must have access to your email to complete the upgrade, as the upgrade process sends an email with a validation code which you will need to retrieve and enter.
  • You need to take these upgrade steps only once for your account.

The upgrade process starts automatically when you go to log in through the Trimble Construction One login screen.

After entering your credentials and selecting Sign In:

  1. (Optional) Watch the video on the upgrade process screen.
Note: If your company requires you to log in with multifactor authentication (MFA), a note appears just above the Next button instructing you to enable MFA when you create your Trimble account.
    • If you do not see this note, MFA is optional for you.
    • If your organization requires multifactor authentication (MFA) when signing in with your Trimble ID, do not use any of the Google, Apple ID, or Microsoft sign-in options.
  2. Select Next.
A Trimble account creation page displays with your email address already populated.
  3. If you do not already have a Trimble ID account, Create a Trimble ID. If you already use an email address to sign in to your application, use that same email address to create your Trimble ID.

If your organization requires multifactor authentication (MFA), you may be prompted to set up MFA before you can access your application.

  4. If you already have a Trimble ID account, follow the prompts to Sign in with Trimble ID.
Your Viewpoint ID is upgraded to a Trimble ID account.
Use this email address and password combination when logging in to your application.
