Troubleshoot Trimble ID Issues
If your users are having issues logging in with Trimble ID, and you completed all configuration and setup steps, review the following options to troubleshoot.
Instruct users to manually link Trimble ID to their portal profile
For native Trimble ID users only: If the web portal cannot automatically link Trimble ID to a user's portal profile (such as when their Trimble ID username is not associated with a Vista VA User Name or PR Employee email), users can manually link accounts using their employee number and a one-time PIN. For details about this process, see Manually Link Trimble ID to Your Portal Profile.
Unlink Trimble ID from user portal profiles
If your users are having issues logging in with Trimble ID, and they cannot manually link their accounts, you can unlink the user's Trimble ID from their profile. This resets their login so they can sign in using their employee number and password. You can individually unlink Trimble ID or bulk unlink Trimble ID from all users.
Reset passwords for managed Trimble ID users
For managed Trimble ID users only: System and Security Admins can reset a managed user's password from the User Access page. If the user does not receive a notification with the new password, you must share it with them so they can log in. For more details, see Reset Passwords for Managed Users.
Review the error messages in the bulk assign managed users import template
For managed Trimble ID users only: As part of the bulk assign managed users import process, if the import has errors, a warning message displays in the portal. You can select the warning notification to download another version of the template file, which lists error messages next to each template entry with an issue.
Error messages may indicate that a managed username is already in use, a user already has a native Trimble ID, or a user is associated with a VA User. Fix the issues as needed.
If contact information is missing, the user will not receive their login credentials. In this case, Admins must share the username and temporary password with the user. The temporary password is listed in the error message.
For more details, see Bulk Assign Managed Users.
