Setting up the Viewpoint Database for Document Storage

Storing attachments in the server file system isn't the recommended method. VPAttachments is the preferred storage location for DM attachments. For more information, see Document Management Storage Options.
The following steps guide you through setting up the system for storing documents in the Vista™ database.
  1. In Vista™, open the DM Attachment Options form.
  2. Select the Database radio button from the Attachment Storage Location section. The system defaults the database server and name in the Server and Name fields.
  3. Click OK to close DM Attachment Options.
The system will now store documents in the Vista™ database.
