Import items from an Excel or TSV file to create catalog item records in ProContractor. A catalog item is required in order to create inventory entries in the Materials module. The catalog item record contains all item-related details, including vendors and pricing information, warehouse information, and tax exempt status. Importing catalog items allows you to create multiple catalog item records at one time.

1. Optional: Set up defaults for item categories.
2. Optional: Set up defaults for item entry or import.
3. On the Import Setup Data screen, import item records from an Excel or TSV file.
4. Optional: Modify each item record to add information that was not imported.

After you import catalog items, you may want to:

• Create a Stock Receipt Entry
• Create a Purchase Order
• Run Material Reports
