Create a Field Order

Create a field order for a project to record and schedule work that needs to be performed on site.

If needed, you can select internal users who should review the field order. Reviewers should use the steps outlined in the Review and Approve Project Documents topic to review a field order. Once you have created the field order, you can create a PDF file from a field order form that you can view, print, or send in an email.
  1. Optional: If you haven't already done so, set up your document management defaults.
    Note: You can only use document routing if you have selected the Document Routing Distribution Control checkbox on the Document Management Settings screen.
  2. Optional: If you haven't already done so, set up your field order types.
  3. Optional: If you haven't already done so, set up your document routing distribution groups.
  4. On the Enter Field Order screen, create a field order.
  5. Optional: Select the users and/or the document routing distribution group that will review the field order.
  6. Optional: If needed, contact the reviewers to advise them to review the field order.
  7. Optional: On the View Tasks screen, periodically view the status of the document routing for the field order to monitor the review process.
  8. Optional: Once the field order is approved, manage the field order and the PDF file as needed.
