Create a Drawing Package

Create a drawing package to create a group of drawings for a project to be delivered together. If needed, you can select internal users who should review the drawing package.

Reviewers should use the steps outlined in the Review and Approve Project Documents topic to review a drawing package. Once you have created the drawing package, you can create a PDF file from a drawing package form that you can view, print, or send in an email.
  1. Optional: If you haven't already done so, set up your document management defaults.
    Note: You can only use document routing if you have selected the Document Routing Distribution Control checkbox on the Document Management Settings screen.
  2. Optional: If you haven't already done so, set up your drawing types.
  3. Optional: If you haven't already done so, set up your document routing distribution groups.
  4. On the Enter Drawing Package screen, create a drawing package.
  5. Optional: If you haven't already done so, create drawings to include in the drawing package.
  6. Optional: If needed, contact the reviewers to advise them to review the drawing package.
  7. Optional: Select the users and/or the document routing distribution group that will review the drawing package.
  8. Optional: On the View Tasks screen, periodically view the status of the document routing for the drawing package to monitor the review process.
  9. Optional: Once the drawing package is approved, manage the drawing package and the PDF file as needed.
