Use in conjunction with other takeoff tools to create annotations from vectors within a drawing. Click Vector to turn on the Vector tool. When you turn on the Vector tool, it is activated on the Takeoff, Area, Trench, and Len/EA tabs. Click Vector again to turn off the Vector tool.

Allows you to select a vector, line annotation, spot elevation, or soil boring by clicking the stylus or left mouse button on the item you want to select. If you select one item and then select another, the first item you selected will be deselected.

Allows you to select multiple vectors, line annotations, spot elevations, or soil borings by clicking the stylus or left mouse button on the items you want to select.

Allows you to create a line by digitizing the elevation points from a drawing. Click the button on the speedbar and click the starting point of the line; move the cursor or stylus to click on each successive point.

Allows you to create a line in the existing and proposed layers by tracing using the stylus or mouse.

Use in conjunction with Point or Trace. When you digitize near a hard point, line, or finished area, ProContractor will connect the items and create a hard point on both the new line and the existing item. ProContractor marks each snap point with a red X. You can turn Snap on and off as needed while you are digitizing a line.

If Vector is enabled, use to select a vector and create an annotation in a single step. Left-click to create the annotation and change the elevation; right-click to create the annotation without changing the elevation.

If Vector is not enabled, use to change the elevation of a line that was previously digitized.

If Vector is enabled, use to create annotations for multiple vectors at different elevations in a single step. Draw a line across vectors of different elevations and then set the start elevation and interval.

If Vector is not enabled, use to change the elevation of multiple lines that were previously digitized.

Displays the Properties popup window for the selected item. You can factor, slope, and copy elevations as well as mark specific reference points on lines and display the Northing and Easting values for each point on a line. See Change Line Properties for more details.

Specifies that you have finished digitizing a line or series of borings and creates the annotation. If multiple vectors are selected, clicking Finished joins the vectors together to create a single annotation. Once you click Finished, the interval increases/decreases to the amount you specified.

Use instead of Finished to create an annotation without increasing/decreasing the elevation for the next line to be digitized.

Use in conjunction with Point or Trace to specify the elevation for the last point digitized along a line. Before you click Hard Pt, enter the appropriate elevation in the Elevation field.

Use in conjunction with Point or Trace to automatically digitize a contour line. Use the Go Settings on the Digital tab of the Preferences screen to control how ProContractor digitizes lines with this tool.
