Select Payroll Checks That Need to be Reprinted or Renumbered
When you click Correct Printing Issues on the Print Payroll Checks and Advices screen, the Select Checks That Need to Be Reprinted or Renumbered pop-up window appears. Use this pop-up to correct payroll checks and advices that were not printed correctly. There are several reasons why checks and advices may not be printed correctly, including:
- The printer jams, causing issues with check numbering.
- The check supply in the printer runs out before printing has finished.
Each row in the grid is a check or advice that was printed. Depending on how many checks and advices were printed, you may want to filter the grid to display only the problem checks (for example, checks with a check number >1000). See Grids in the ProContractor Help for information on grid functions.
Most of the fields in the grid are display only. All fields and buttons in the grid are explained in detail in the table below.
Use the Reprint and Renumber checkboxes to indicate which checks and advices need to be reprinted or renumbered. You can select only one of these options for a given check. For any checks that need to be renumbered, enter a new check number in the New Check Number field.
Click Reprint Now to reprint selected checks and advices (if any) immediately, or click Save Correctly Printed Checks to set the correctly printed checks and advices as Ready to Post and reprint the others at a later time. Checks that need to be renumbered are immediately renumbered in the system using either the Reprint Now or the Save Correctly Printed Checks option. To dismiss the pop-up and return to the Print Payroll Checks and Advices screen without correcting checks and advices, click Cancel.
