Export a TDS data file

  1. Open the job you want to export the information from, if it is not already open.
  2. Select the Takeoff tab, if it is not already active.
  3. Click Estimating > Earthwork > Export > TDS Data in the All Tasks pane.
  4. On the TDS Export window, click Browse.
  5. On the Save As window, browse to the folder where you want to save the TDS data file.
  6. In the File name field, enter a descriptive name for the TDS data file.
  7. From the Save as type field, click to select the file type you want to use for the TDS data.
  8. Click Save.
  9. Under Layer on the TDS Export window, select the layer you want to export.
    Note: You can only export one layer at a time to a TDS data file.
  10. Under Area, select the area from the selected layer that you want to export to the TDS data file.

  11. In the Grid Spacing field, enter the spacing in feet between elevation points.
  12. Select either Sub Grade or Finished Grade.
  13. Select the Export Stakes from Layout Window checkbox to export the location of any stakes you created in the Layout tab.
  14. To export the selected layer and areas with the grid spacing you selected, click OK.
  15. Click OK on the export confirmation message.
