Export a TDS data file
- Open the job you want to export the information from, if it is not already open.
- Select the Takeoff tab, if it is not already active.
- Click Estimating > Earthwork > Export > TDS Data in the All Tasks pane.
- On the TDS Export window, click Browse.
- On the Save As window, browse to the folder where you want to save the TDS data file.
- In the File name field, enter a descriptive name for the TDS data file.

From the Save as type field, click
to select the file type you want to use for the TDS data.
- Click Save.

Under Layer on the TDS Export window, select the layer you want to export.
Note: You can only export one layer at a time to a TDS data file.

Under Area, select the area from the selected layer that you want to export to the TDS data file.
Note: You can only export one area at a time.
- In the Grid Spacing field, enter the spacing in feet between elevation points.
- Select either Sub Grade or Finished Grade.
- Select the Export Stakes from Layout Window checkbox to export the location of any stakes you created in the Layout tab.
- To export the selected layer and areas with the grid spacing you selected, click OK.
- Click OK on the export confirmation message.
