Enter Time in Daily View

Enter or modify labor hours on your timesheet using the Daily view. The Daily view shows timesheet entries for a single day at a time in a selected pay period.

You can add or modify timesheet entries up until the timesheet is approved. If your manager locks timesheets on a regular basis, you must make your changes before timesheets are locked.
  1. Select Time & Jobs > Timesheets.
  2. Select a pay period from the list on the left side of the page.
  3. Select the Employee Timesheets tab at the top of the grid.
  4. Select a timesheet in the grid.
  5. Select the Daily tab near the top of the page.
  6. In the Add Entries section, select a date from the calendar.
  7. Select Add Time.
    Tip: To copy entries from a recent pay period instead of creating a new entry, select Copy From Past in the Time section of the page. See Copy Entries From a Prior Pay Period for details.
  8. In the new Time Entry line, enter information in the fields shown, including all required fields, such as Job, Phase, and hours worked. If you enter a Start Time and End Time, your regular hours entry (Reg) updates automatically.
  9. To add a comment to the timesheet entry, select the Comment button, add your comment, and select Confirm.
  10. When you are finished, select Save Entries.

    Your saved time entry is moved to the Time section of the page.

  11. To add a new time entry for the selected date:
    1. Select Add Time in the lower left of the Add Entries section.
    2. Enter information on the new line.
    3. Select Save Entries.
  12. To correct the date on a saved time entry, you must re-enter the information on a new line and then delete the incorrect entry:
    1. Select the correct date from the calendar at the top of the page.
    2. Enter information on the new line, and select Save Entries.
    3. When you are finished, return to the saved line with the incorrect date, and select Actions > Delete.
  13. Use the Actions button on a saved line to add or copy lines, or add break time for the selected date:
    1. To add a new time entry for the same day (for example, if you have multiple roles on the same job or work at multiple job sites in the same day), select Actions > Add Line.
    2. To copy a saved line so that you do not have to re-enter the same information for a similar time entry, select Actions > Copy Below.
    3. To add break time for a day, select Actions > Add Break.
    4. When you are finished making changes, select Save Entries.
