What's New in Traqspera 2024 R9
The 2024 R9 release of Traqspera includes enhancements to Time Off Requests and Import Configuration Settings. This release is available as of October 4, 2024.
New Features
Quick Setup for the Data Exchange With Spectrum
A new Quick Setup feature in Spectrum streamlines your process for configuring the data connection between Traqspera and Spectrum.
Use the Quick Setup feature in the Traqspera Self-Configuration wizard to:
- Quickly create an Authorization ID for your Traqspera user account.
- Automatically grant all pertinent access to the newly-created Authorization ID.
See Use Quick Setup to Configure Your Authorization ID for details.
Improvements
Coming Soon: Trimble ID Required to Log In
Logging in with Trimble ID will be required for all users in an upcoming winter 2024 release. At that time, you will no longer be allowed to log in with your Traqspera user account credentials.
To prepare for this change, users must link their Trimble ID to a Traqspera user account. Select Log In Using TID on the Login page to get started linking your accounts. You can do this now, or you can come back to the Login page to do this at your earliest convenience. For step-by-step instructions, see Link Your Trimble ID to Your Traqspera Account. If you do not have a Trimble ID, see Migrate a Traqspera Account to Trimble ID.
Time Off Requests
The Add Request window has been redesigned for improved usability, providing a more user-friendly interface for employees to do the following:
-
View their estimated vacation balance and total hours requested.
-
Select a date or date range from the calendar.
-
Manage their requested time off hours by day.
Additionally, employees can now edit their pending time off requests from their Time Off calendar.
See Request Time Off for details. To learn more about Time Off, see the Time Off section in Help.
General
References to supplier have been changed to vendor throughout the system to align with Spectrum.
Application Settings
The following changes were made to Import Configuration Settings:
-
Added buttons to multiple sections to improve usability surrounding how to add cost centers, division codes, an employee or equipment status, and other information directly from this page. These buttons replace the plus signs (+) that were previously available in the relevant table headers.
For example, in the Job Allow / Deny List section, you can now add cost centers and division codes using the new Add Cost Center and Add Division Code buttons.
Refer to the following table for a list of all new buttons that were added to replace the plus signs (+) previously available in a table header.Section Subsection New Buttons Job Allow / Deny List n/a - Add Cost Center

System Permissions
In LEM Permissions, added Edit LEM Previews. This allows you to restrict the information that users can edit while previewing LEM reports:
-
If enabled: Users who can create LEM reports can edit all available areas of the LEM while previewing it. This includes values for labor, equipment, and materials.
-
If not enabled: Users who can create LEM reports can change only the following information while previewing the LEM report:
-
PO #, LEM #, Grand Total (header fields)
-
Additional Field 1, Additional Field 2, LEM Comments Header (custom header fields)
-
LEM Additional Labor Column (custom labor section field; requires a manual entry by default)
Note: Current users with permission to create LEM reports will retain their full editing permissions following the update to the 2024 R9 release. To restrict current users from editing values for labor, equipment, and materials, disable their Edit LEM Previews permission following the update. -
