Viewing Options in the DM Document Viewer

When viewing documents with the DM Document Viewer, the toolbar provides options for resizing the document within the viewer, searching for specific pages in the document, and an option for viewing the document in its default viewer.

The following list discusses each viewing option/toolbar button. For more information on the other toolbar buttons, refer to Adding Annotations to a Document .

Toolbar Button

Description

Click this button to zoom in.

Click this button to zoom out.

Click this button to select a specific zoom percentage. Additionally, you can choose to have the document fit the viewer's page size, fit to the viewer's width, or fit to the viewer's height.

Select a document page to view from this drop-down list, or enter the page number in the text field.

Click this button to view the document in its default viewer. When you click this button, the DM Document Viewer closes and the default viewer opens. Any annotations that you add in DM Document Viewer do not display in the default viewer.

Click this button to rotate the document to the left. If the document contains annotations, the annotations will rotate with the document. See the note below this table for more information on rotating documents.

Click this button to rotate the document to the right. If the document contains annotations, the annotations will rotate with the document. See the note below this table for more information on rotating documents.

Click this button to print the document. You can choose to print the document with annotation or without the annotations. Once you select your option, a standard Print window displays where you can configure the printer to use, select a page range for printing, or select the number of copies that you need to print.

Note: If you save .TIF or .JPEG documents after rotating them, the system will save the rotated file. The system does not save rotated .PDF files, as this affects the quality of the file. If you add annotations to a rotated PDF, however, the system will adjust the annotations to be viewed correctly when you reopen the file.

For example, let's say that you open a document that was scanned in sideways, rotate it, add annotations, and save the document. The next time you open it, the document will appear sideways again, but the annotations will be oriented to display properly for the sideways presentation.
