Set Drag and Drop Options

Define where you copy individual files or merge them and select the naming convention for these copied files in the PDF Drag/Drop Options window.

Save Selected Pages as a Single File

Set your preferences for saving pages as a single file.

  1. Go to File > Options and Settings > Drag/Drop Options.
  2. In the Merge Options section, select Save All Pages in One Document (File Name Ends With '-Extract') checkbox:
    • Use Original File Name – Begins the file name with the name of the original file.
    • Enter Text – Begins the file name with the text you enter.
    • Skip – Does not include a middle part in the file name.
    • Enter Text – Includes the text you enter in the middle of the file name.
  3. In the Processed Flag Options section, select one of the following options:
    • Select the checkbox for When dragged out of Advanced Image Manager, flag image(s) as processed in current session to add a processed flag to the image in the Pages pane when it is dragged out of Advanced Image Manager.
    • Clear the checkbox for When dragged out of Advanced Image Manager, flag image(s) as processed in current session if you do not want to place a processed flag next to the image in the Pages pane when it is dragged out of Advanced Image Manager.
  4. Select OK to save your options.

Save Selected Pages as Separate Files Using Original Page Numbers

Set your preferences for saving pages as a separate files using the original page numbers.

  1. Go to File > Options and Settings > Drag/Drop Options.
  2. In the Merge Options section, clear the Save All Pages In One Document (File Name Ends With '- Extract') checkbox.
    • Use Original File Name: Begins the file name with the name of the original file.
    • Enter Text: Begins the file name with the text you enter.
    • Skip: Does not include a middle part in the file name.
    • Enter Text: Includes the text you enter in the middle of the file name.
  3. In the File Name End section, select one of the following options for the page number in the file name:
    • Use 'Page' + # (Original Page Number): Ends the file name with the word "Page" and the original page number.
    • Use 'Pg' + # (Original Page Number): Ends the file name with the word "Pg" and the original page number.
    • Use # (Original Page Number): Ends the file name with the original page number.
  4. Select the # of digits field, and choose the number of digits for the page number in the file name.
  5. In the Processed Flag Options section:
    • Select the checkbox for When dragged out of Advanced Image Manager, flag image(s) as processed in current session to add a processed flag to the image in the Pages pane when it is dragged out of Advanced Image Manager.
    • Clear the checkbox for When dragged out of Advanced Image Manager, flag image(s) as processed in current session if you do not want to place a processed flag next to the image in the Pages pane when it is dragged out of Advanced Image Manager.
  6. Select OK to save your options.

Save Selected Pages as Separate Files Using Auto-numbering

Set your preferences for saving pages as a separate files using auto-numbered pages.

  1. Go to File > Options and Settings > Drag/Drop Options.
  2. In the Merge Options section, clear the Save All Pages In One Document (File Name Ends With '- Extract') checkbox.
    • Use Original File Name: Begins the file name with the name of the original file.
    • Enter Text: Begins the file name with the text you enter.
    • Skip: Does not include a middle part in the file name.
    • Enter Text: Includes the text you enter in the middle of the file name.
  3. In the File Name End section, select one of the following options for the page number in the file name:
    • Use 'Page' + # (Auto Increment Number): Ends the file name with the word "Page" and an assigned page number.
    • Use 'Pg' + # (Auto Increment Number): Ends the file name with the word "Page" and an assigned page number.
    • Use # (Auto Increment Number): Ends the file name with the word "Page" and an assigned page number.
  4. Select the # of digits field and choose the number of digits for the page number in the file name.
  5. In the AutoNumber Options section, do one of the following:
    • Select the Choose Starting Number checkbox to enter the number that will begin the naming sequence.
    • De-select the Choose Starting Number checkbox to begin the naming sequence at 1.
    • Select the Track Last Number Used checkbox to track the last number used when using Auto Increment Number.
    • De-select the Track Last Number Used checkbox so that the last number used will not be incremented for this session. The numbering will begin at 1.
  6. In the Processed Flag Options section:
    • Select the checkbox for When dragged out of Advanced Image Manager, flag image(s) as processed in current session to add a processed flag to the image in the Pages pane when it is dragged out of Advanced Image Manager.
    • Clear the checkbox for When dragged out of Advanced Image Manager, flag image(s) as processed in current session if you do not want to place a processed flag next to the image in the Pages pane when it is dragged out of Advanced Image Manager.
  7. Select OK.
