Start or join a real-time session to interact with other project members in a shared 3D model viewed across multiple applications and devices.
- In Trimble Connect, enable the Live Collaboration extension. Go to Settings
and select the Live Collaboration (Beta) toggle. - All Live Collaboration session participants must be members of the pertinent Trimble Connect project. If needed, invite users to the project.
Live Collaboration sessions can be started in or joined from applications besides Trimble Connect, such as Revit (with Revit Add-in) or Tekla Structures. You and other session participants can join the same session multiple times:- from more than one application (Revit, Tekla Structures, or Trimble Connect)
- using multiple instances of the same application, even if different release versions
- from multiple devices
To start or join a Live Collaboration session using Trimble Connect:
- In the Connect 3D window top bar, select the
dropdown.The Live Collaboration pane displays the list of any existing sessions, even those started in another application. The names of the models, collaborators, and applications are included.
- Select the
icon adjacent to the existing session you want to join, or start a new session.Default session names consist of the username and date; you can opt to enter a custom name for the session.
You are brought into the session.
- If you want to add your model to the session so that it is visible to other session participants, select Share.
